The challenge: Enable employees to discern real phishing attempts from false alarms and to promote self-reliance in assessing email safety. Compliance courses are often ignored, not taken seriously, and perceived as boring, which made engagement a significant challenge.
Additional constraint:
This module was one of six courses simultaneously in development for the client.
Working with actual phishing emails added complexity. We needed to gather enough realistic content to be relevant while ensuring no one accidentally clicked on malicious links during the process.
My contribution:
Client Relationship Management: Maintained ongoing communication with the client, scheduling and attending all calls to ensure their needs and expectations were met.
Instructional Design Leadership: Designed the storyboard and instructional activities for the e-learning module. Created interactive elements and assessments to engage employees.
Vendor Coordination: Sourced and managed a graphic designer, e-learning developer, and audio talent. Coordinated all review cycles and actioned edits.
Detailed QA Testing: Performed comprehensive usability testing to ensure the module was user-friendly and engaging, incorporating feedback to refine the learning experience.
