Virtual Instructor-Led Training, Multimedia Storytelling, Instructional Design, Manager Development
The challenge: In preparation for mid-year check-ins, educate 150 managers on the critical role of providing consistent, clear, and direct feedback to employees throughout the year.
Additional constraint: 3.5-week timeline to launch
The design: A 45-minute interactive workshop on the essentials of feedback, including its importance, delivery techniques, and ways to overcome common challenges. It starts with an engaging animated story in second person, showing the negative effects of poor feedback. This approach sparks interest and sets the stage for a meaningful conversation.
My contribution:
User Research: Consulted with Employee Relations contact and representative target users to identify relevant gaps.
Instructional Design: Researched and designed workshop flow, content, and activities.
Multimedia and Presentation Design: Designed presentation slides, wrote facilitator script, and scripted the animated video.
Narration and Video Production: Recorded and edited narration, developed the animated video.
Interactive Activity Design: Scripted live demo, designed role-play activities and handouts.
Project Management: Managed review cycles, actioned feedback, and managed breakout rooms during live sessions.
Samples: Content video, selection of slides, facilitator notes, role-play activity instructions, a page from demo script
